Manimuthar river is the largest tributary of Thamirabarani river. The river exactly descends into the foothills of Western Ghats, to the reservoir. It is a part of the Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve. Tourist has to take boat ride for 20 minutes from the Kariyar Dam to reach this place. The flow of cascading waterfall is very high. The water from this falls contain medicinal properties.
